Peace, without an "I"?

This is a beautiful piece. I admire all the work that must have gone into designing it, and I realize the dedication it would take to complete this piece. But... I am aware that many historic alphabet samplers do not include the letter "J." But I have never heard of anyone omitting the letter "I." I wonder why the designer did it? Any ideas?

  1. I wish I could answer that question for you. I knew about the J (my husband said that when we were dating he wondered if I knew my alphabet - LOL), but I don't understand why she didn't put in the I. Maybe there is something out in Internet land that would explain it.

  2. Because she made an ancient latin alphabet .... without "I" and "W" ...
I usually use this kind on my samplers too ...
